Established in 1999, we are one of the best places in Wichita to hear live music. Our focus is on promoting local musicians who play their own original music.
After relocating down the street for a few years, we are back in the location we first started, 608 E. Douglas - where the Blue Lounge was located. Although the Blue Lounge valiantly kept the building's great tradition of supporting live music alive, we decided to do some remodeling and bring back the original name, John Barleycorn's Bar, a name that Wichita has come to associate with talented local musicians.
We have a great sound system and a large stage. It is a good place to play if you're a band or watch a show if you are a fan. Come check us out; you won't be disappointed! We have great daily specials including our famous half priced drinks on Thursdays. We offer a free Open Mic on Mondays and Trivia Slam on Wednesdays. Also, free Wi-Fi!
